Ohhhh thursday!!!

As usual, I woke up, took my breakfast and get ready to go to school. Well, today is the mother tongue paper. Luckily, I had prepared for the examination and felt very confident once I entered the class. The paper started. I did the Malay comprehension with ease. I realized that practicing a lot seems to help me. I finished the paper in half an hour. Ten minutes left on the clock. I checked my paper and handed up the paper confidently. Well actually, the questions are not hard except just that I need to analyse the passage properly.

After the paper, we had Maths and DnT lessons. Well, it was quite okay although I was quite tired as I slept at 12 am yesterday. The bell rang. It is recess time. I hurriedly rushed down to get something to eat as I was quite hungry. After eating, I went to the fitness corner to do some chin-ups. Phew, it is tiring as I have not done it for quite long. The bell rang marking the end of the recess.

Time for our Mother Tongue and Humanities lessons. Well, for Mother Tongue, we had our composition test. Well, it was quite okay to do although I was blur for a moment. I mange to finish it within the time limit though. Then, it was Humanities lesson. It was quite fun as we learnt about conflict in Northern Ireland where the Protestants and the Catholics are having a conflict.

Finally, it was time to go home. I went home and studied for my maths exam which is tomorrow. Then I went to watch the television before going to my bed.

Wednesday exam fear

Today is Tuesday the 12. The day of the social studies examination. I was busy preparing myself for the exam that I don't have the time to eat my breakfast. I reached school and immediately sat at my chair.

I revised again and prayed that I will be able to do the exam smoothly. The signal to start the exam is given by the teacher-in-charge. I flipped open the page and to my delight, the questions are what I revised and remembered and finished the exam in thirty five minutes. I passed up the exam script and smiled. I felt happy and relieved once the exam was over.

Lessons continued. It was okay. Not as bad as it usually does. Recess came. Everyone rushed out as today is 'fried food' day. In an instant, the canteen was filled and the queues are long. So while waiting for the queue to subside, I discussed with my friends about the examination that we did just now. After some time, we queued up and bought our food. We then enjoyed the food while joking around with each other.

After eating, it was time for physics and mother tongue classes. Well, it was quite draggy and soon half of the class was almost asleep while the other half try to find ways to keep awake. Mother tongue was okay. We studied for our examination tomorrow and clarified our doubts with our teacher.

The clock reaches 2.00 o'clock. The class was dismissed and everyone rushed out. I went out of school and headed home. When I reach my home, I did my usual stuff, eat my food, shower, pray and did my homework. Soon, it was dinner time. After finishing my dinner, I revised once more for the examination tomorrow. Then, I prepared my bag and ironed my clothes. It was 10.00 pm. Time for my sleep. I tucked in my bed with a smile and hoped that tomorrow will be a good day.

A very exciting day

It is Tuesday, 11 August 2009. I woke up early in the morning to do my prayers and eat my breakfast. Today is the day. Today marks the start of the common test 2. Today will be English. I was hoping that it was not difficult as I am always nervous when it comes to examination.

My father called out to me. I then hurried down to board my father's car. Surprisingly, I reached to school earlier at around 7.18 am as I usually comes around 7.30 am. I went to class. Everything is normal except one thing. The class does not joke around a lot this time. Instead, most of them were nervous and just hope that they get through with the examination easily.

The bell sounded. It is 7.40 am. Time for the national anthem and the pledge. We then sit down and waited for the paper. The teacher then distributed the paper and everyone waited for the clock to reach 8.00 am. The clock reached 8.00 am. The teacher allowed us to start the examination. Everyone flipped over the paper and started to read and examine the passage. I read and try to understand the passage. I then began to attempt the questions. Surprisingly, I was able to do it easily and manage to complete it within the time given. I was relieved. We handed up the answer script to the teacher.

Then, lessons resume as per normal. Man, it was tiring to try and concentrate if you know that tomorrow is another hard exam. I tried to concentrate. Soon, after all the studying, I went home. Upon reaching home, I instantly took my lunch and went to shower. Then, I did my homework till night. Then when I was about to go to sleep, I remembered that I did not study for my next exam. I quickly took out my notes and revised till it was almost to midnight. My vision was slowly becoming smaller and smaller. I put my notes aside and went to bed hoping that I will be able to do my upcoming exam.

My recount of national day parade

It was 5.30 am on 7 August 2009. I was busy preparing my NCC no.3 shirt. Today my school celebrates National Day. I am involved in the National Day parade where I am the guard-of-honour in the parade along with some of my other fellow uniformed group cadets. I ate my breakfast and did my prayers. The clock shows 6.15 am. I hurried out of the house and reached school around 6.40 am. Some of the other cadets had already arrived. I quickly put my bag in the NCC room and fall in my own uniformed group. The parade commander then briefly goes through with us the sequence. We then wear our white gloves and prepare ourselves for the parade. The signal for us to march in is given. We stand in attention and marched to the quadrangle.

We halted in the middle of the quadrangle. We turned to the front and stand at ease. We waited for the parade to start. Everyone in the school went out of their classes and watched at us. They were cheering and shouting as loud as they could. I was feeling nervous as the whole school is looking at me. I was thinking too many negative thoughts. Then, the signal is given. The parade commander marched in front of us. He commanded us. We stand at attention and salute the national flag. The national anthem was played.

We sang as loud as we could. After that, we took the pledge. Then, us, the guard-of-honour, stood at ease and waited for the principal to give the national day speech. It was very long. Most of us were feeling miserable as we were not able to move and that cause our muscle to ache. Finally it was over. The parade commander then commanded us and we stood in attention. We then turned to our left and prepare to march out. We marched out while the crowd cheered continually.

We marched past the general office to the parade square. Then, we halted and relaxed ourselves. Everybody was smiling and cheering loudly. We were happy that we completed the parade without anyone fainting and we celebrated our achievement with a can of 100 Plus. Everyone gulped it in no time. I was very happy to be part of the guard-of-honour. I hoped that I can be involved in another parade but this time, an even prestigious parade!
